Client: Digital Education Marketing

I was responsible for providing support, bug fixing and the successful resolution of a variety of issues across DEM's codebase for both StudyLink, Coursefindr and The Editor reporting/admin/portal site. The main websites utilised the following:

  • Laminas, (formerly Zend Framework) versions 2 and 3
  • Amazon SQS implementation
  • Sphinx powered Search indexes
  • Wordpress frontend
  • AWS hosted repos

One task I worked on was to implement a solution to prevent any nefarious web crawlers and spammers from distorting the analytics and reporting mechanism and to ensure that any web links were in fact genuine. I also worked on the search indexes to ensure that any promoted institutions were correctly placed, be it a Undergraduate, Postgraduate or online course.
