Flash Design and Development

In 1999 when I first started designing websites, Macromedia Flash was a relatively new and exciting product that meant you could do many things to bring your site to life and produce a rich media website that could be optimised for the web.

Today, Adobe Flash has matured as a product and is used in various aspects of websites, most notably for streaming Video. For certain organizations where usability and accessability are key issues, Flash may not be the best solution for presenting their website. e.g. There is no Flash playback support on certain devices such as Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch.
